Writing Themselves in 4: South Australian Launch
This year one of the largest ever studies on the experiences of LGBTQA+ young people in Australia was released. The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) at La Trobe University asked 6,418 LGBTQA+ people aged 14 to 21 about their experiences with education, homelessness, harassment, assault, mental health, community connections and more.

South Australia is lucky enough to have a Sate report, which outlines the 640 young people from SA that responded. This webinar will explore the relevant state data for our LGBTQA+ young people, and involve discussion from a variety of professionals on what this research might mean for future support.

This webinar will feature the study's lead researcher Associate Professor Adam Bourne to present the key findings, which will then be followed by a Live Q&A Panel. This panel will involve Commissioner for Children and Young People Helen Connolly, and Dr. John Brayley, the Chief Psychiatrist of SA Health. It will also include relevant educators and professionals to comment on the relevance for their fields.

Join us for this virtual launch, to explore what this latest study in LGBTQA+ Youth could do for our state support!
